Prośba o rejestrację uczesników przed spotkaniem 5 października 2011 oraz mała agenda

Agenda jest mała ponieważ nie otrzymałem jeszcze oficjalnych tematów od naszych prelegentów. Zatem szykują nam się dwie duże prezentacje. Jedna będzie dotyczyła Django a w szczególności Admina. Druga natomiast będzie związana z Lispem. Tematy opublikuję jak tylko dostanę je od autorów.

Teraz zapraszam wszystkich chętnych do zarejestrowania się.


We haven't received yet the actual topics from our speakers, but
there are going to be two large presentations. One about Django (in
particular: the admin interface), the other about Lisp. The topics
will be published as soon as the speakers will provide them.

Registering with the form below will make it easier for us to
estimate number of attendants, and make sure there's enough room for
everybody.

The next meetup will take place in a different than usual location: The coworking studio "Studio przy Lea", 2/2 Królewska street. The map below should explain everything.

We have a nice lineup of presentations:

• Indispensable Lennart Regebro will give us a Short introduction to Plone.
• Łukasz Zosiak will talk about Python in solid state physics
• and Marcin Ciura will present his library for Exact numerical computations in Python.

The meetup starts on Thursday May 12th at an unusual time of 19:15. Hope to see you all there!

BTW. I just remembered we have a flickr account, so if anyone takes his/her camera, I will upload the pics there.

It took a while, but the slides from our last meetup are available. There were three presentations, and every one has been published in a different form :)

Next meeting on Wednesday, February 9th

The next Pykonik meeting will take place in Pauza Club - just like before (ul. Floriańska 18). We have three talks planned:

• "The towers of Babel" by Lennart Regebro: On open source, patents, copyrights explained with steam engines, lolcats and rock'n'roll.
• "Za co nie lubi Cię Twój hoster" by Grzegorz Nosek: The best ways to make your hosting provider hate you more than he already does (the talk is going to be in polish)
• "Class-based views in Django 1.3" by Łukasz Rekucki: on the idea of class based views, ways of implementing it and design desicions taken in Django 1.3

The meeting will begin at 19:00.

EDIT: We previously informed about the meeting happening on Thursday, Feb 3rd. That was a mistake: the correct date is Wednesday, Feb 9th.

Next meeting preparations
